If our President believes that America is a living hell for women then why wasn't stopping the brutalization his first task

If as the President said in his Grammy video that 1 in 5 women has been the victim of sexual assault or attempted sexual assault and 1 in 4 women has been a victim of domestic violence then why focus on Healthcare reform? After all Asche Schow points out:

...... then he just broadcast to everyone watching the Grammy’s that they should be afraid to leave their house for fear of rape, and afraid to stay in it for fear of domestic violence.

Let's assume that there is a one third overlap between the rape victims and the domestic violence victims. If that's the case then fully 59 million women in America have been violently assaulted by men. Yet for six long years the President focused on healthcare and global warming and finance regulation. He took more vacation days and played more golf than any President in history. What an incredible and cynical response to what must be the greatest injustice in America by far. If he's telling the truth. But of course he's not.

These numbers are wildly out of line with national crime statistics, which don’t show anywhere near that number of rapes in the past two decades. Those statistics show fewer than 2 million rapes being reported in that time frame. Even accounting for the fact that many rapes go unreported, the number Obama gave Sunday night is staggering. It would mean that just 6.3 percent of rapes and attempted rapes are reportedp

By his presentation of obvious falsehoods the President signals that he despises this country and believes its citizens are both irredeemably violent and so stupid that they will believe anything he says. How did such a hateful, contemptible man get elected to the Presidency? Telling the lies he told about all of us on national TV is the equivalent of him urinating in our collective face secure in the knowledge that he can get away with just about anything so long as it supports the liberal bigots' conception of the country.
