I like women, I confess I do

And women like me - well at least two

Other than mother and my daughter, that is

although neither one knows it just yet

But the problem with women (or the problem with me)

Is that women and I seem to disagree

About life and sex and money too, 

not to mention all the things that I do.

But I can't stay away from them oh no!

They attract and beguile me so.

Luring me with their dulcet voices 

into remarkably stupid choices

So if you see me standing in the rain

looking more than a bit insane.

Just know that there's a woman at bottom,

an unwitting temptress that doesn't know I got 'em.

Consider the woman, consider her close because I've got it bad

I can't stand to be with 'em and and I cannot do without

The French understand women oh yes they do

because the French are so wise wait:  is that true?

Well anyway they understand that I cannot resist

that strange and terrifying deformation that the female form inflicts

I try to warn my daughter about her secret power

but when I do she just laughs at me and says I'm being dour.

For my daughter is a foremost member of the fearsome breed

that considers men tasty morsels upon which they can feed.

What is it with women that makes them act so cruel?

Why do they so enjoy making me to play the fool?

I do not know, I cannot say

all I know is that I can't keep away.
