Imagine if this were your son lying dead on the street in front of your house

He was shot down by the police in broad daylight.  We don't know the details but there was no gun evident. It is hard to understand why the policemen felt the need to kill him.  This is a working class black community and they erupted with rage at what they saw happen on the street in front of them.  And can you blame them?  Or really anyone who has been in the crosshairs of our 'finest'.

Body of Michael Brown, behind crime scene tape
He was heading off to college in a couple of weeks. See the red streak?  That's his life blood pouring out.  Shoot first, ask questions later Mr. Policeman?

OK, now I've got more details:

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports:
[A witness] said she saw the teen, hands in the air, attempt to flee [when police tried to put him in a squad car]. Several shots hit Brown as he ran, Crenshaw said. She complied with a request that she give photos of the scene to authorities…
So I guess it is standard operating procedure to shoot a fleeing teenager in the back.  Because there was really no reason to fear the police in this town.  Well except for the evidence right in front of your nose.
