You'd think that the IPCC would have done the math on their own predictions. And you would be wrong.

According to Ronald Bailey the IPCC estimates that the cost of doing nothing is roughly equivalent to the cost of mitigating climate change via CO2 reductions.  Wow. So according to the so called experts there is really no case for mitigation because adaptation can be done at a similar cost and the costs of adaptation come later than mitigation investments meaning we can wait and see if the forecasts pan out before doing anything.  By waiting we also can take advantage of our greater wealth and increased technological sophistication.

Its wonderful that the IPCC's data agrees with the moderate skeptics that they so eloquently denounce.  Pity they didn't realize it though.  More here.
