There are no liberal liberals

One of the more irritating lies that gets repeated over and over is how Liberals are 'open to change' and 'tolerant' and 'inclusive' while conservatives are hostile to change, intolerant and exclusive.  What a bunch of hooey.  Liberals and conservatives are exactly the same: tolerant of what they approve of, intolerant of that which they disapprove and willing to feign tolerance to get the things they approve of tolerated until they get enough power to make them mandatory.

 The Federalist analyzes the gay marriage kerfuffle from it's beginnings in "all we are saying is give same sex marriage a chance' to it's current state 'if you don't approve of, subsidize and service same sex marriages then we will shut down your business and send you to jail".  He shows how it follows to the letter the smoking gambit.

There was another 'liberal reformer' from way back that did the same thing.  Indeed you can read about it in his best selling memoir.  Muhammad started his career in polyglot, pagan Mecca so the first half of the Koran is filled with paeans to tolerance, inclusiveness, kumbaya you name it.  Then Mr. Mo took the hejira to Medina where he got the keys to the city - literally and all of a sudden kumbaya Muhammad became I'll kill you bah! Muhammad.  He started out by exterminating an entire Jewish tribe that wouldn't convert.  Some things never change with these Muslims.

It turns out the politically religious whether they be Muslim, Moral Majority or garden variety liberal are all vicious intolerant persecutors of the other.  That's what "religion" does to you - it makes you cruel and then blinds you to the cruelty that you commit in the name of 'faith'.
