Both religious faith and sexuality are fundamental attributes of humans. They guide our actions and what positions we can occupy within the society. Asserted changes in the nature of acceptable or desirable sexuality bring it into conflict with long held religious convictions. And the reason it does so is the ever expanding and increasingly baleful role of the state.
With each passing day the state defines, prescribes, prohibits and manipulates more of life. How we got our birth control used to be up to us. Now a shallow Alinskyite radical lawyer who got 52% of the vote is shoving it up our nose. Tiny pluralities of voters seldom exceeding 25% of the population are not sufficient reason to push people around.
