Immigration is the game changer. Bertolt Brecht explained why long ago.

What is going on? Obama's last Immigration head acknowledges that normal 'illegal' immigrants no longer have to fear deportation because BHO has effectively suspended it. There is effectively no border control - everyone gets through and the President is issuing amnesties and green cards right and left in violation of the law. At the same time, blue states are issuing illegals drivers licenses, giving them in state tuition, and otherwise helping them stay. And when red states try to fill the enforcement vacuum created by the Federal Government's abdication of responsibility, the Obama Administration and courts smack them down.  What gives? Why is the left set on importing tens of millions of poor immigrants at a time when 92 million able bodied Americans are out of the work force? I thought they were pro-American, that is, for our working poor.

Bertolt Brecht explained what is going on in America today long ago in a poem he penned after riots against the East German Totalitarian state led to a crackdown:

The Solution

After the uprising of the 17th June

The Secretary of the Writer's Union

Had leaflets distributed in the Stalinallee

Stating that the people

Had forfeited the confidence of the government

And could win it back only

By redoubled efforts. Would it not be easier

In that case for the government

To dissolve the people

And elect another?

Apparently the white, private, non subsidized part of of America has forfeited the confidence of the Democratic/Progressive party so the Dems have decided to pick themselves a new governing majority: replacing the old ethnics and joe lunchpails with tens of millions of immigrants - legal and otherwise. These new members of the coalition owe everything to Dem/Progs and are utterly dependent upon them. This could be why Dems are so exercised about voter ID laws which are ubiquitous throughout the civilized world: they want to get these new 'voters' 'voting' even before they've gone through the citizenship process. Their goal is to overwhelm Texas, Florida and Arizona with largely Latino Democrat 'voting' immigrants. Once that's done, they believe that a coalition of immigrants, minorities, those dependent upon public subsidy and government apparatchiks/academics/media will constitute a durable ruling majority. And any time some of the immigrants get uppity (like those asians who are complaining about affirmative action in university admissions), they'll just get another sackful of the poor, dependent ones.

Which is why they welcome these 'crises' because they represent a surge in the supply of raw material for the political edifice they're building. Of course they'll have to endure the electorate's angry reaction to the Dems latest defiance of their clearly stated will on immigration, secure in the knowledge that at the end of this episode there will be many more Dem leaning Latino voters in Texas and Arizona.

In my humble opinion, Democrats/progressives no longer see their mission as persuading the electorate or fulfilling its wishes. They are on a world historical project to 'save' us from ourselves and as a result, the objectives cannot be changed. So the people must. And that more than anything else explains the non-enforcement and illegality: they're using their temporary control of the state to rush as many people through as possible. Clinton did much the same thing with citizenship, waiving language and waiting period requirements so the maximum number of new voters loyal to him would be able to vote. But at least they were legal residents. The new Democrat/Progressive strategy draws no distinction between legality and illegality. And so long as the Presidency is controlled by unscrupulous Chicago politicians, the law simply won't be enforced and millions will be told they've gotten an (illegal) 'amnesty'.

So when BHO leaves office he'll present his successor with a fait accompli: up to fifteen million people who were promised by the President that they could stay. And if after eight years of lawless non-enforcement we try to enforce the law and deport them, then the violence could be revolutionary.
