One of the first decent things Eric Holder did on office is almost his last

Civil forfeiture is state theft. And any curtailment is good even though Holder's move is the modern equivalent of Lincoln banning slavery in non slave states.

Via the Washington Post, Eric Holder and the Justice Department barred local and state police from using federal law to seize cash, cars and other property without warrants or criminal charges, representing the most sweeping check on police power to confiscate personal property since the seizures began three decades ago as part of the War on Drugs

The Feds can still steal in all 50 states and about 35 states still rape their own citizens in the ironic name of "justice".
