With latest victory Assad has won the war in Syria?
I don't think anyone is winning any of these wars for a really long time. I believe that the Muslim world is undergoing its version of the wars of reformation that convulsed Europe for 150 years. The Sunnis are slaughtering the Shia/Alawites etc. and the Fundamentalists are Slaughtering the moderates and arabs hate persians hate kurds hate africans hate central asians hate punjabis hate bengalis hate javanese hate moros and so on ad infinitum so this this thing is going to go on as a general bloody melee for a long darn time. Until everyone is exhausted and decides to become the Muslim equivalent of country club Christians.
So stockpile your popcorn and make sure that you've got clear plastic barriers in place to catch all the spattering blood because we're in for a nasty, brutal show.
