Slate is all in a tizzie that blue states vote in tax 'n spend and most of the actual money goes to red states.  Heck, it's not our fault that you cats are stupid.

It reminds me of the John Candy scene in Stripes.  Updated for today, I think it would go something like this:

"What are you doing? No no, get off, get off. See you gotta pay our taxes. See we're in the 2010s. The blue states have gotta pay the red states taxes all the time. See it's in the Constitution. See if we were in the 1990s we would have to pay yours, but we're in 2010s and you gotta pay ours. Sorry, it's in the Constitution."
