Free at last! Free at last! Thank God Almighty we are free at last! (Of Kennedys that is)

My whole life has been blighted by self righteous, self important, rich Kennedys happily taking any money but their own to spend on their status seeking.  Good to see them gone.  From Contentions.

Today’s New York Times has an elegiac piece on the last days of Patrick J. Kennedy in Congress. It is a remarkable fact that when the new Congress convenes in January, it will be the first time since 1947 that a member of that family will not hold a federal office. The Timesquotes the Brookings Institution’s Darrell M. West, who sees this moment as “a pretty dramatic fall and it’s a symbol of the decline of liberalism.” But that, I think, puts a little too much weight on the meaning of this clan’s long struggle to first acquire and then to retain political power.
