Remove the word "Survivor" and insert "Stalinist Stooge" and you have the formula for The Great Terror

It's amazing how the tactics being pursued by the President and his Left Behind Team on college campuses track that of the most efficient and murderous totalitarians.  Guilty until proven innocent, the definition of crime as what the accuser experienced rather than the objective fact of the act, the anonymity of the accusers.  The total lack of independent representation.  Troikas made of apparatchiks rather than juries of your peers.  No due process rights. No rights to cross examine. And explicit instructions by the State not to involve the 'regular' police, only the campus 'political' police.

And now there is explicit guidance on how the show trials should be reported on by the good and leftist press.  Ashe Schowe who has been a rational voice crying in the insane Democrat wilderness on this has the details:

Unfortunately, the guide enshrines the “guilty until proven innocent” mentality that is currently permeating college campuses. For example, the guide says not to use accurate terms such as “accuser” and “accused” and instead urges journalists to pre-judge the situation.

“[D]on’t refer to the survivor as ‘the accuser’ and the perpetrator as ‘the accused,’ as ‘accuser’ carries negative connotations and grammatically places the action upon the survivor, rather than the rapist,” the guide says. “Instead, use more neutral language — if you have permission to use the survivor’s name, refer to the survivor by their name throughout. Otherwise, use descriptors such as ‘the survivor’ or ‘the student,’ or consider using a pseudonym.”

Try as they might, once leftists get total control over an institution they become brutal and intolerant. This is because leftists believe that everything in society should be ruled and subject to political audit by the state.  Everything. Which is why we desperately need to defund American higher education.  It's become a corrupt, thieving, hateful hindrance to liberty and honor. But the Dems think it's swell because it's all theirs.
