State Democrats imploding?

With the Rangel, Paterson and other chaos in New York, with Blagojavich under indictment, Burrus in a cloud and Giannoulis' family bank going chapter in Illinois and California near (or in) bankruptcy, we have the spectacle of the state Democratic parties in the three biggest blue states imploding all at once. Add to this the party's travails in Michigan, its Specter-cide in PA and all the Kennedys being dead in MA and you have chaos for the Dems on a national scale.

Meanwhile in bright red states like Texas, it's hard to find the party's pulse while drive time deejays in St. Louis openly mock Obama.

The implications for the next two electoral cycles are profound.

There's hope for change.
