Real Public Education Spending

I don't know about your school district but here in Webster Groves the school district pushes for votes to increase school taxes almost every year. They always claim that their per pupil spending is some (very high) number. But the number they always cite is the 'operating fund' which is only a fraction of spending. When you dig, you find out that real spending is vastly higher and that, once again, our 'public servants' are lying to us.
