We have a serious problem: we have chosen to lurch left into full frontal social democracy at a time when the baby boomers are retiring, the current entitlement promises are unpayable, and we desperately need to grow productivity and work hours to pay the bills. At least the Euros implemented their irrational policies when their dependency ratios were minute and growth was surging. Leave it to us to do the wrong thing at the time when it can be guaranteed to be most disastrous. Sigh.
