Example of bad science because the investigator doesn't know their topic from a hole in the wall - Snow Days

Here's an interesting but totally BS chart.  Can you think of why?

The St. Louis data is a crock. I have never seen cancellations for one inch. Ever. Perhaps one inch on top of ice.  What you are seeing in the data is the prevalence of icing followed by snow.  Ice followed by a small amount of snow is the normal winter weather in the lower Midwest and upper South. By and large the the further north you go, the less common it is.  This is an example of asking the wrong question because of ignorance of the topic.
