I've been making fun of NYC's new mayor because it is deeply unserious for your municipal leader to have an inequality or animal rights policy. It's almost impossible to just keep all the basics going. But I didn't realize how depraved and crude Mr. D is. Having Marxist and Castro boot lick Belafonte screech his poison at you inaugural? Honeymooning in Cuba to get in on the exploitation? Promising businesses up front that you will screw with them relentlessly? In a city that already holds the national record for bureaucratic oppression.
I'm with George Will: having the loons run New York is a limited government morality play. Great for us righties. You go, loon.
I'd visit soon because its going to get weird fast.
PS: There's a reason why New York voters hadn't elected a Dem mayor in twenty years. Evidently they've forgotten that reason. Now they will relearn it with a vengance.
