Americans, Again, Say Government Is Shockingly Incompetent

I was watching Alphas last night - another of these 'superheros pursued by the Feds' shows that emerged from the GWOT.  And it struck me again quite hard how fast the culture is turning against first the national security state and now against the nanny state both moral and regulatory divisions.  The keys to this wonderful turn of events:

1. GWB and BHO grossly and ineptly overreaching in their oppressions of choice.
2. The inherent inability of government to operate much less adapt to new complex environments, and
3. Slow but real gains in civilizational maturity.

They say that 'everyone's a conservative in that which they know best'. Perhaps we are beginning to understand ourselves a little better.

There's hope for change.
