Why doesn't this surprise me

From "Waiting for Superman":

About one of 57 medical doctors and one of 97 lawyers loses his or her license annually for malpractice.  In contrast, only one in 2,500 unionized, public school teachers with tenure gets fired each year.
But you see, the Doctors and Lawyers are in the private sector which means they are accountable. Whereas the public school teachers are unionized public employees which means that they not accountable.  For anything.  Ever.

See, no problem.

What we need is to get all the Doctors and Lawyers working for the government and then they won't have malpractice problems either.
