The Trauma that is Obama 2

Another perspective on our Nobel Price Winner's (for the invention of Hopium) commentary on his 'frightened' subjects:
Tom Maguire takes batting practice on this latest bout of presidential self-deception: "I have no doubt the electorate is more disciplined on his home planet Vulcan. Still, I wonder whether telling us we are a nation of cowards for worrying about our jobs will be a winning message. But let's not overlook the real progress here- now Obama's critics are scared rather than racist or stupid. There's hope for us! And change! Speaking of which, left unanswered (and probably unasked) -- are people hard-wired to think clearly while euphoric about the possibility of hope and change? I'd hate to think Obama ran an emotionally manipulative campaign what seems like two eons ago. And is there some reason to think that people were not scared back in the fall of 2008 when Fannie and Freddie were being nationalized, Lehman and AIG were failing, and TARP was being whooped through Congress? Whatev. America's many -- the scared, the timorous -- will give Obama something to think clearly about on November 2."
