On the other, other hand, the collapse of the family has resulted in that increased output not being reflected in family prosperity

Or at least not as much.  Sigh.  Oops, I misread the chart.  Household incomes have done much worse.  This is median household income per household member, which actually doesn't look too bad, except since the late nineties, which haven't followed the historical trend of bust, new high, bust.  Once again, sigh.
