Two years ago the largest stimulus (about 30 times larger than the largest previous one) package in American history was passed. It was followed by the largest capital strike since the Great Depression which pretty much cancelled out any positive effect it's admittedly venal and government focused largesse could have had.
It's a pity that the trillion dollars of debt we incurred to do the waste can't be cancelled.
Hope and Change indeed.
