Rick Perry: The $10,000 BA

Some politicians are actually standing on the side of consumers.  Witness Rick Perry's efforts to get the State Regents to create a low priced on line college degree for Texans.  Hat tip Instapundit.

RICK PERRY CALLS FOR $10,000 B.A. DEGREE: Democrats Respond That Proposal Will “Dumb Down” Texans. Hmm. You can get a computer for a lot less than you could a few years ago. Is the new computer dumber? And maybe Texas can cut a deal with the Khan Academy — and maybe even answer the certification problem.

I'll bet there are no Dems on the consumer side on this one.  The Academy votes and gives 20 to 1 for the left.  Which is why liberalism is dying - they don't work for the people anymore.
