Destructive flailing department

The Obami are thinking of tossing hundreds of billions of business tax breaks (aka fiddles) into the mix in a desperate attempt to goose the economy and save their bacon.

Breaking late Thursday was this Bizarro-World news: "With less than two months until the November elections, the White House is seriously weighing a package of business tax breaks -- potentially worth hundreds of billions of dollars -- to spur hiring and combat Republican charges that Democratic tax policies hurt small businesses, according to people with knowledge of the deliberations. Among the options under consideration are a temporary payroll tax holiday and a permanent extension of the now-expired research and development tax credit, which rewards companies that conduct research into new technologies within the United States."

So the Obami have prolonged the recession by screwing with every knob and switch for the economy that they can reach.  Now they've decided that the answer to the chaos they've caused is to get a really tall ladder and screw with all the knobs and levers that they couldn't reach.

Business needs simple stable rules so that it can make long term plans.  Until it believes it has got them they (and their employees and shareholders) are going to sit on their hands.

Having a top shelf Law Degree with honors really is no guarantee of wisdom is it?
