Toyota shifting US HQ to Texas from Southern California, 4,000 non McJobs to Dallas suburb Plano

This is on the heels of Occidental Petroleum decamping from LA to Houston.  And Apple's announcement that they were building another million square feet of offices and adding 3500 staff in Austin.  Paul Krugman insists that Texas is all McJobs despite having three of the ten highest per capita median income cities (adjusting for cost of living) in the nation.  Toyota and Occidental moved from the 44th out of 50 richest large city to the 6th and 1st richest respectively while cutting its costs and tax bill to boot.

Oh, Honda and Nissan also used to be in Cali, they left a while ago.

It's getting harder and harder to pretend, Pauley K.
