The Great Missouri River Flood Disaster of 2011?

The upstream dams are all full.  A record snow pack is beginning to melt.  An expert on the Missouri says that the biggest dam is prone to failure.  Failure would mean all the other dams would fail and cause devastation from North Dakota to St. Louis.  The Missouri at St. Charles, where I work is very, very high.

Who's in charge?  Why our Federal Government.  Of course.

A disaster would be a metaphor for our omni-incompetent Feds:  amassing huge sums of money and power, they simply store up small problems until a disaster of Biblical proportions becomes inevitable.  So instead of letting people deal with modest travails every year, we are faced with a once in a lifetime catastrophic event.  One created by our 'saviors' as a byproduct of our 'salvation'.

Lets hope this guy is overstating things about the Missouri.  Sadly, with most Federal programs: Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, New Orleans flood control and the Federal budget in general, the tendency has been to grossly understate the potential for disaster.

Please Mr. Federal Lawyer, don't try to save us.  We' can't take any more saving.
