I always liked Russ Feingold because despite his doctrinaire leftiness, he wasn't completely nasty about it. Here's an example of his (unintentional) humor:

Democrat toothpaste: Willing to meet with the cavities without preconditions and determined to find a reasonable compromise to the territorial dispute.
I prefer conservative toothpaste: It waterboards the plaque.
