The left is turning us into a 'Paperwork Nation'

Peggy Noonan always illuminates the obvious in engaging ways.  She points out that man, particularly American man was not created by God to be the cog in a vast state bureaucracy.  Sometimes it seems that the whole focus of our leaders is bureaucratic - to regiment us, envelop us in paperwork, strangle us with 'compassion' and 'concern'.  Unfortunately this focus on 'control' and 'order' strangles our liberty and kills the very things that make us human - creativity, contingency, joy, love.  For if all is determined, where is the space to be human?  As they say, read the whole thing.
