Comparative Intensity

Left and right are fairly consistently balanced in this country.  The driver of political fortunes is intensity -  which side is most motivated to get out and campaign, donate and vote.  We have just had a good test of comparative intensity in two rallies held in the same spot just weeks apart.  The first was Glenn Beck's 'right wing' rally and then the 'lefty' 'One Nation' rally.  Both happened on Saturdays, both during good weather.  First, here's the 'One Nation Rally from the air:
And now Glenn Beck's rally.

Hmm.  From what I can tell, both rallies were shot during 'prime time' - noon to mid afternoon, so there's no chicanery there.  So what is measured is intensity and (possibly) organization.

Methinks there is something unbalanced in our electoral future.
