He is pessimistic. Identifyies our elite's current lack of cultural confidence and the inpouring of 'barbarians' who neither understand or value our culture and certainly can't maintain it as the same process by which Roman civilization was undermined and the Roman state toppled.
He's not defeatist though, he wants us to fight. As he says "It's not over til it's over". He has a new book called Dismantling America.
