Definition of someone who buys health insurance for their children: Chump

With the new healthcare 'reform', children cannot be denied coverage for preexisting conditions.  This means there is no reason for parents to purchase health insurance.    Of course within a couple of years the thing will come crashing down in chaos and be repealed but in the meantime, why not save some green?  So why be a chump?  Dump!

H/T Jim Geraghty of NRO.

Verum Serum notices this, "They specifically recommend, both on the website and in the Power Point, telling a story about a child who was denied coverage for a pre-existing condition and who has been rescued by Obamacare. This is a reference to a small portion of the law which was supposed to take effect immediately on passage. In fact, the lawmakers forgot to include a start date, but Sec. Sebelius rode to the rescue and announced she would honor the lawmaker's 'intent' and demand insurers ignore pre-existing conditions immediately. Of course someone still has to pay for the insurance. And since parents now have no motivation to buy insurance before kids become sick (no pre-existing conditions means they can always buy it afterwards), the price of insurance is beginning to rise as it, predictably, becomes a pool of increasingly sick kids. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that this is one more reason Democrats won't be claiming that this great new feature is also a cost cutter. Taking care of kids is a worthy goal but this monstrosity is not the best way to achieve it."
