Note that almost all the value (and profit and wealth) redounds to the creators of the intellectual property. Assembling stuff is a chump's job. Recently Andy Grove argued for a lot more manufacturing in the US and incentives thereof. A retired CEO of Intel and Engineer, Andy has turned into a chump.
We need to keep our eye on the ball: intellectual property, design and creativity. Let the Chinese and the Indians be the chumps.
