Now this is backbone

We've learned that the Dems won't pass a budget and now it appears that they won't even ratify the expiration of the Bush Era tax cuts that they campaigned so vociferously against before the mid-terms.

The best the Democrats can do: “Democratic leaders are likely to punt the task of renewing Bush-era tax cuts until after the election.Voters in November’s midterms will thus be left without a clear idea of their future tax rates when they go to the polls.” It seems that majority status is too vexing a burden for them.

So these cats, who have total, supreme power (and on budget matters, no filibuster to worry about) won't even implement their promise to repeal the Bush era tax cuts in a period of trillion dollar budget deficits.  Another indicator that their politics have no principle at their core.  Only power.

That's why we call it fascism, boys.  Or cowardice.  You choose.

Of course I could find some Republican 'perfect negative' equivalents (tax cuts with faux budget cuts) - they're fascists and cowards too.

Which is why we should push every political choice down to the states or localities and strip the national politicians of virtually all of their domestic power (as the Founders intended).  Remember:  the wig boys had experience being governed by an arrogant, remote bureaucracy.  They hated it so much that they killed to get away from it.

Will it come to that?  Will we need to kill to get away from the venality, corruption and cowardice that is Washington?  I pray not.  But before you dismiss me as raving, remember: our Founding Fathers revolted from a privileged position in the most liberal, tolerant regime the world had ever seen.

Don't just assume that it won't happen again.  Our 'Federal Leaders' are playing with fire.
