Private pollster's estimates of unemployment diverge from the state's....in predictable ways. The Feds do lots of 'adjustments' to the raw data. Which would be fine except that they all work for the government and are part of the 'party of the state'.

GALLUP: Unemployment Up To 10.3 Percent. I’ve noticed a divergence between the Gallup numbers and the “official” numbers lately. I wonder why that is? Is it seasonal adjustment, or something else? Underemployment is up to 19.7 percent.
