John Boehner on why he's not sorry if a bunch of (Twice Paid) Federal workers are laid off:
Apparently this comment is supposed to be scandalous or something: "House Speaker John Boehner expressed little sympathy Tuesday for federal workers who [will] lose their jobs as the result of Republican budget cutting. 'In the last two years, under President Obama, the federal government has added 200,000 new federal jobs,' Mr. Boehner told reporters Tuesday morning during a press conference in the lobby of the Republican National Committee, according to various news outlets. 'If some of those jobs are lost, so be it. We're broke.'"
What is unimaginable is how a 'responsible' steward of our bankrupt government could add 200,000 workers in two short years - given that his team wasn't in place until Summer of 2009, this means that they have been hiring at a rate of 150,000 a year since then. Astounding. Reckless. And utterly corrupt.
