Now this is one college gender gap unlikely to receive any Federal attention

One of the best indicators that our government is not focused on equity but on power is to watch it in action when the shoe is on the 'other' foot.  For decades the Federals have been pushing 'gender equity' on college campuses, meaning fighting for the inclusion of more women and the elimination of barriers to women getting degrees.  It has gone so far that laws like Title IX have established de facto numerical quotas for things like intercollegiate athletics to the detriment of our nation's Olympic hopes.

But now women are graduating from college at rates that far exceed that of men.  If our statist establishment were true to its claims for 'equity' and 'justice', the Federal machine would have jumped into action a decade a go when this trend became evident and began demanding aggressive discrimination on behalf of men, even to the point of imposing numerical quotas.  But of course no such thing happened.  You see, our colleges and the Federal agencies who supervise them aren't interested in equity or justice.  They are interested in power.  And men, particularly white ones, are their political enemies.  Therefore they do not 'deserve' help.

This, of course, is one more reason why I describe our Federal government and its key subsidized sectors as 'fascist'.  Because in a fascist state it is power considerations that best explain state behavior, not 'justice' or 'equity' or 'liberty'.  Hat tip carpe diem.
