The only thing that the last 20 years of climate doom predictions have done is waste money and discredit the science establishment

Everyone gives lip service to AGW Mom and Apple Pie but no one is actually willing to do much about it. The scientific establishment has made itself look venal and ridiculous. And there have been so many busts where the "settled science" turned out to be dead wrong. On fat vs. carbs, salt, acid rain, obesity, guns and on and on and on. We need to get science out of the government and the government out of science. Before they do some serious damage.
