The limits of Politics

Joel Kotkin points out that seldom in modern history has one political party been as dominant in government as the Democrats are today. Yet despite all of their efforts to push money and power towards their homes, the dark blue states continue to hemorrhage jobs and residents to the reddest states. He argues that the Left needs to dramatically change its priorities lest it destroy its own political bases.

Kotkin is a very rare thing: a principled moderate. He went Obami in the last election. He's over that now.
