Venture capital at a seven year low

Venture capital spending is a leading indicator:  it is the most 'animal' of our economy's animal spirits.  That it is so low is not so much an indication of the recession but of the capital strike that is a result of the poor policy choices that were made first under W. Bush and then horribly compounded by the Obama administration.  Capitalists need confidence to flourish and right now no one has much faith in the people who set and enforce the rules.
