Obami seek to allow a six fold killing of bald eagles to accommodate wind power carnage. So a technology that produces almost no power will kill six times more bald eagles (and presumably an equivalent number of other raptors and types of birds) than all of the existing industrial and agricultural activity in the nation today.
I have always said: environmentalism in America isn't about the environment, it's about power. When the enviro's friends need to degrade the environment for the 'cause', well they just go ahead and do so.
