More evidence that bien pensant elites don't really get out much
What is it about our 'elites' that make them so ill informed and parochial? Perhaps it's that all of them live in a handful of cities, indeed in a handlful of neighborhoods in a handful of cities. They don't seem to get out much. Wendell Cox debunks the latest load of elite bunk. Incidentally, where did this "white picket fence" meme come from. Almost nobody does white picket. Chain link, wood privacy, yes, white picket...not so much, yet it's always on these cats' lists of things that are 'on the way out'. Perhaps is some sort of racist code that only urban hipsters grok. Like grok, for example.
