McCarthyism of the Left

George Will speaks for a lot of us who have developed a boundless contempt for everything the mainstream media does or says.  They truly have reduced themselves to a series of confabulated mental tics.  'Course that makes 'em easier to beat.  So you go, girl.

This McCarthyism of the left – devoid of intellectual content, unsupported by data – is a mental tic, not an idea but a tactic for avoiding engagement with ideas. It expresses limitless contempt for the American people, who have reciprocated by reducing liberalism to its current characteristics of electoral weakness and bad sociology.

I now respond to a report from the Mainstream Media with "OK, how are they lying today?".  I don't even believe the weather reports - they have become so smeared with AGW propaganda.   Hat tip Instapundit.
