Our government: Illegitimate?

Glenn Reynolds observes that recent polling by Rasmussen finds that only 21% of Americans consider the Federal Government to enjoy the 'consent of the governed'. 63% of our so called 'leaders' do.

There's a storm coming and it will sweep some very surprised people away.

    John and I were just trading comments re this in Rough Truths on the Declaration Of Independence page.

    I love The Declaration, love to read it frequently.

    My point was that we all should incorporate its language into our daily vocab.
